The Medicaid EHR Incentive Program provides financial incentives to eligible Medicaid providers to adopt and meaningfully use a certified EHR technology. There are two programs: one for eligible professionals (EPs) and a separate program for eligible hospitals (EHs). EPs include physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, certified nurse midwives, and physician assistants who practice in specific settings.
